Why the low prices? What is the catch?

There is no catch. We took out from the rental rates those options that are usualy included and many customers don't need. This way the car hire rate is lower and the price can be composed by customers according to their needs.

Can I have a low rate if I book early?

Yes. The rates will tendentialy increase when more cars are alloted to reservations. If the demand is high and less cars are available the rates will increase so you should take advantage of the lowest rates by making your reservation in advance

Is it possible to cancel my reservation after I have received a confirmation?

Yes. There will be a cancellation fee as shows in our Terms & Conditions.

Where can I pick up my rented car?

Deliveries are made in our office near Faro airport. But you can receive your car at the airport car park or at your accommodation in Algarve at a small extra fee.

What do I have to do before I return the vehicle?

In order not to incur in extra charges you should clean the vehicle (interior and exterior) to return it as you received it and verify the amount of fuel in the tank to return it with the same amount agreeded at pick up.

What do I have to do when cleaning the vehicle?

To be able to offer you attractive prices, we make vehicle cleaning your responsibility. If you return a dirty vehicle (interior/exterior), Auto-Rent-Algarve will charge a cleaning fee. The interior must be in perfect condition suitable for the next renter, with the exception of traces of use on the floor. This means that all ashtrays must be emptied, there must be no sand, hair, stains or smudges on windows, upholstery, in the trunk or on the floor. The exterior must be in perfect condition suitable for the next renter. The vehicle must have minor traces of use when you pick up or return the car. It must always be returned in the same condition it was in when it was picked up by the renter. To save money you can order return cleaning services for a nominal fee when you reserve or pick up the vehicle.

Is insurance included in the rental rate?

Each vehicle you rent from Auto-Rent-Algarve is covered by liability insurance for personal injuries as well as material and property damages. This insurance coverage is included in the rental rate. Please get all related information when you pick up the car. In addition, you may obtain passenger insurance or a comprehensive insurance package, which always includes a deductible. If you do not obtain comprehensive coverage, you will be completely liable pursuant to our Terms and Conditions.

How high is the insurance deductible?

If you do not obtain comprehensive coverage, you will be completely liable pursuant to our Terms and Conditions. If a liability damage waiver (LDW) is contracted against payment of a fee, Auto-Rent-Algarve will indemnify you based on the principles of a comprehensive insurance policy with the respectively agreed upon deductible for damages to the rental car. This liability damage waiver includes partial comprehensive coverage. In the event of a partial comprehensive coverage damage, the renter is liable in particular for glass, ground game, fire, theft and elementary damages with a deductible of € 900 or € 450 per event, depending on the LDW negotiated.

What is excess mileage?

If you drive more than the kilometres included with each calendar day, you will be charged for the additional kilometres driven according to our price list. You can alternatively buy extra Kilometers at booking time at cheaper rates. Our cars is equipped with calibrated odometers, so that this information is used as the basis for calculations.
